1. If a client has already had a transplant with another doctor and is disappointed with the results, can it be redone?
If a patient is unhappy with his or her hair transplant, there are many things that can be done to correct the problem. For instance, if there are too many follicles in a graft and the graft looks obvious, then the graft can be removed and cut into smaller follicular units. If there is not enough density, then more grafts can be inserted. If the grafts are not in the correct location, then they can be extracted and moved.
2. Is there a minimum age for hair loss surgery?
There is no minimum age for hair loss surgery.
3. Won' t bare scalp be showing in the back of my head once the donor hair is taken?
There should not be any bare area showing in the back of the scalp, because we perform a trichophytic closure that allows for follicle to follicle approximation so that no scar should be visible.
4. Do you provide free consultation?
The consultation is complimentary.
5. What type of information should be brought to the consultation?
Bring all of your questions and concerns. It would help to see old photographs of the patient, if that is the result that is desired. We would like to know if there are any medical problems and if the patient is on any medications.
6. Are lab tests required prior to surgery?
Assuming that the patient does not have any history of excessive bleeding with trivial injuries, then there are no lab tests necessary.
